PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Manager of Service and Support Administrators will supervise the activities of assigned Service & Support Administrator (SSA) staff in completing the core SSA functions. This will include providing direction, training and support to assure SSA staff utilizes the principles of self determination as they coordinate services to meet the assessed needs and desired outcomes of individuals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required: Completion of Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline. Meets or is eligible for necessary certification requirements. Two years experience in direct programming for DD or equivalent.

Applicant needs to meet at least one of these bullet points below:

  • Two years of experience in supervision. (A combination of education and experience may be considered at the discretion of the Superintendent.) Interim SSA Supervisory Experience may count as well.
  • Master’s Degree and 4 years’ experience as an SSA.
  • Be an SSA II, be an SSA for at least 4-5 years, have an approved succession plan in place, be an SSA mentor (or willing to be a mentor if no opportunities in last 2 years) and have completed a leadership training (examples may include but are not limited to Executive Development or Leadership Unlimited)

Must be able to transport self and/or arrange for transportation for individuals. Must be able to maintain insurability as required by the Board policy and procedures.

 CERTIFICATION: DODD Service and Support Administration Supervisor. Professional Certification as required. May be required to obtain course work at own expense for initial certification as well as renewals.
